This automatic non-destructive method of testing involves the use of lasers to test and to measure defects in LED PCBs. 

It operates by reflecting laser on the PCBs, while measuring parameters like height, light intensity, and solder joints. 

After the measurements, a standard specification of PCB is compared to the measurements taken to identify faults embedded in the PCB. 

Nonetheless, the laser method poses unique advantages in finding defects like misaligned solders, volume of solder, and cleanliness of solders.
